Futurama: Bender's Big Score

Plot Outline:
Phillip J Fry - a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy - accidentally freezes himself on December 31, 1999. He wakes up 1,000 years in the future with a chance to make a fresh start and so goes to work for the Planet Express Corporation, a futuristic delivery service that transports packages to all five quadrants of the universe. His companions include the delivery ship's captain, Leela, a beautiful one-eyed female alien who kicks some serious butt, and Bender, a robot with very human flaws. In the upcoming TV Movie, Planet Express sees a hostile takeover and Bender falls into the hands of criminals where he is used to fulfil their schemes.

Summary:
Unlike The Simpsons, Futurama failed to capture the publics' imagination. Or rather, it failed to capture Fox's, and with ratings failing to the reach the expected heights attained by the Simpsons it was pulled. However, since the shows cancellation in 2003 it has built up a substantial cult following amongst those recognising its equal greatness. This has led to co-creator and Simpsons genius Matt Groening deciding to bring it back as a TV movie - actually called Futurama: Bender's Big Score. These are a series of teasers that could serve as a refresher for the eager old faithful, plus with enough exposure they could also introduce these characters to an audience that missed out the first time. The essence of each character is captured through paraphrasing chosen dialogue from the series.
