Plot Outline:
A blackly comical autobiographical account of an advertising executive's battles with alcohol addiction, including his stint in rehab told in the irreverent style of his previous work 'Running With Scissors'.

Summary:
I imagined this film (should it get made) to be in the vein of a typically whimsical John Irving novel such as World According to Garp or Hotel New Hampshire. The more recent The Life Aquatic by Wes Anderson is another example - a film that tackles comedy and tragedy in equal measure. This would be a typically 'bigger-budget' art-house adaptation and the chosen cast/crew reflects this. Both visuals use the orange/black colours of Dewars Scotch whisky (the drink of choice) but have very different approaches. With the first promo I've tried to capture the look of a glossy advert and make it appear as thirst quenching as possible. Perhaps ideally the poster would be in the style of a proper advert for Courvoisier brandy or a Hennessy cognac, even Coke. The silhouette of the face here, open-mouthed, resembles a desert. The second promo uses standard AA rehab 'mantras', title, cast and crew to form the shape of the bottle - the tagline at the bottom of the promo being a play on checking into rehab, but not out of life.
